What Do Engineers Do?

Engineers are problem solvers! They look at things that are hard or broken and figure out how to fix or build them.

Every toy, building, bridge, and phone was designed by an engineer. When you stack blocks or build a fort, you are thinking like an engineer!

• 📄 Plan — Pick the best idea and draw it.

Choosing Materials

• 🧉 Wood — strong but heavy
• 📄 Paper — light but not very strong
• ⚒ Metal — very strong!
• 🧹 Plastic — easy to shape into anything
